Florida Immigration During 1946-1989

The period after 1945 in Florida reflects the consequences of World War II.  The economic development spurred in Florida due to the Worlds War II. The reason behind this was the constant mild climate of Florida. Thus, the state becomes a chief training center for the soldiers, aviators, and sailors of the U.S and its allies. Construction of airport and Highway accelerated and by the end of the World War II, the transport network of the Florida was up-to-date, and it was ready for the visitors and resident immigrants to use who looked like they had arrived at the never-ending stream.
Rapid population growth is the one most important significant trend of the post-war era. This population growth results from the large migration from all over the western hemisphere countries and within the United States to the state. Examples of these migrations are Cuba and Haiti. Cuban refugees from the first wave of migration opposed the government of Cuba by using the state as a base.
Anti-communist beliefs and customs of Cuba were bought to the Florida by the 1960s Cuban refugees. The Cubans sheer volume was seen in the last wave during 1980’s intensified racial relations with the African American which were already tense. This happened mainly in Miami, which was economically and politically marginalized.
Public places and public education system of Florida have experienced great changes since the 1950s. Racial discrimination was ended in schools and the other institutions by the struggles of African American citizens, and many other white supporters joined by the Governor LeRoy Collins.
The economy of Florida becomes more and more diverse after the Worlds War II.  The number of jobs was expanded due to the increase in the cattle, tourism, citrus, phosphate, and other industries.
Immigrants have a major role in making Florida a Sunshine state. They fought to end the racism. But the Trump's current law will create a disturbance within the immigrants of the states. And chances of growing racial discrimination will increase due to this law.
